Liverpool vs Tottenham Betting Tips - Premier League

Liverpool’s title race is run and Tottenham’s quest for a top-four finish all but dead and buried, but those setbacks are unlikely to send these attacking sides into their shells.

Respective bosses Jurgen Klopp and Ange Postecoglou are from the all-out attack school of football, so expect fireworks at Anfield.

Liverpool could do with a win after a string of recent setbacks, while Spurs will be keen to avoid a fourth straight loss.

Ange’s Aces To Play Part In Anfield Thriller

There is rarely a dull encounter when old rivals Liverpool and Spurs meet and Sunday’s edition at Anfield is set to be another sparkling affair.

Twelve months ago when Tottenham last headed to Merseyside they more than played their part in a pulsating 4-3 loss.

That was the seventh successive fixture between them in which both teams scored. Take both teams to find the net once more - with Liverpool claiming the victory.

Both teams are limping towards the finishing line as promising seasons peter out, though their attacking mindsets haven’t changed over the last few weeks.

The Reds may have failed to find the net in defeats against Crystal Palace and Everton, but they fired off 21 and 23 shots respectively in those fixtures, more than enough to win most games.

Last week, in the 2-2 draw at West Ham, they had 28 shots. West Ham, on the other hand, managed just 11 from 28 per cent possession - yet still scored twice.

Liverpool generally score lots of goals, but do look vulnerable and a Spurs frontline packed full of quality can ruffle their feathers in what should be a thriller.

A-A To Map A Route To Spurs Goal

Klopp has decisions to make after benching both Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah last week, a decision that didn’t go down well with the Egyptian.

It’s hard to believe Salah won’t be recalled at Anfield, but he won’t be the only goal threat in this Liverpool side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, happy in midfield or attacking the by-line from a right wing-back role, looks fresher than most top players after a two-month lay-off.

He was certainly sharp at West Ham last week, firing off four shots, two of which were on target, and he is well worth chancing to hit the target at least once this weekend.

Classy Kulusevski Can Test Alisson

Postecoglou is spoiled for choice in the final third amid criticism that he still doesn’t yet know his best front four.

Dejan Kulusevski is one member of that elite and talented group, the Swede having scored six times in 32 appearances for the London club.

He has played on both flanks and through the middle, always gives 100 per cent, averages 1.5 shots per game and against a Liverpool defence which isn’t dependable at the moment, back the Tottenham ace to have at least one shot on target.
