A Rapidly Expanding Mobile Market
Leading online casino operator Frumzi has launched an upgraded mobile casino platform in Canada. They reportedly allocated 60% of their second-quarter development budget to upgrade the mobile platform.
The company hopes to tap into what it suggests is a rapidly expanding mobile gaming market. In a press release, the company claims that over 50% of online casino players in Canada prefer to play on smartphones and tablets, and it is hoping that this launch will help cement them as a top choice among mobile players.
According to Canadian Gambling Statistics from the University of Calgary, between March 2023 and March 2024, the net revenue from online casinos accounted for $4.28 billion out of a total of $18.18 billion. The Calgary Guardian reported in 2023 that over 13 million Canadians were using casino apps and mobile platforms.
Further Improvements
Frumzi’s updated platform is now available for iOS and Android users. The aim of the revamp was to improve in several key areas, including responsiveness, support across devices, speed, and overall user experience. They also aimed to reduce waiting times for payouts by introducing new payment features, such as instant deposits and higher transaction limits.
Frumzi has also rolled out new responsible gambling features on its website. Players can now use spending and time limits. There are also self-exclusion options, AI behaviour monitoring, and access to external support materials. The platform will also integrate with responsible gambling software providers so that players can set reality checks and receive timely reminders while playing casino games on mobile.
Frumzi also announced further mobile improvements later in the year. They will be working on their native mobile app throughout the year and have scheduled major upgrades for both the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
