The game is full of symbols that allow you to make a winning combination with 3 or more of them. Its lower-paying symbols are 9, 10, J, Q K, and A, the standard ‘royal’ symbols. Landing a five-of-a-kind with these symbols will reward you with 1-1.5x your wager.
Now, Gold Blitz’s higher-paying symbols are the horseshoe, bell, coins, gold bar, and dollar sign. The Collect symbol, a thunderbolt, only appears on reel 1 or 6 in the base game and in the Gold Blitz bonus round. If you trigger the collect symbol you can then collect any Cash symbols that appear on the reels including any jackpots.
Gold Blitz has a bright blue background with white tapering lines that create an illusion of fast motion. The game is filled with thunderbolts in the same gold colour as the slot itself. I found it to be a bit too flashy and busy, but it does fit in with the over the top gaudy theme. The background music is a sweet flowing guitar riff, which seems out of place compared to the flashy visuals.

The Gold Blitz theme and payouts are nothing special but some of the game mechanics give it some replayability. What I especially liked about this slot game was that you do not need to trigger a bonus round in order to get the potential max win. This is not common among slot games. Also, it is refreshing that you have the option to choose your bonus game once you trigger them with the scatter symbols. I think more slot games should give players the choice between bonus games. Taking all that into consideration I would award this slot a 6.5 because it does not stand out enough from the other slot games that also offer three jackpots.
