The UK is no stranger to combination casino-betting sites, and new ones continue to pop up with regularity every couple of months or so. One of the newer sites that has caught our attention is BetWright. This young hopeful has a focus on sports - so much so it sponsors Leyton Orient, Norwich City FC, and Leicester City - but it also has a casino section. Are we ready to ball with this site? Find out by reading our definitive BetWright review, of course!
Established in 2024 by Onyx Gaming, BetWright promises a “fresh, progressive vision of how to provide high quality entertainment with a consistently high level of service.” Both site and operator are pretty young, but Onyx does claim to count on over a decade of experience in the industry through its veteran staff. The company is based in London and did manage to get itself licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), meaning it is providing its sports betting and casino services legally. Whether these are up to scratch is what we’re here to figure out, obviously.
Younger casino sites need to go through their fair share of ups and downs before they become reliable names in the field. In this case BetWright already has the user interface down, not to mention a solid choice of both games and betting options. The main complaint here is payment methods, since these are limited to debit cards and Apple Pay, as well as a slightly confusing “Bangers ‘N Cash” system for promotions and bonuses. We’ll tackle all of these gripes in more detail further on in this review.
Payment methods limited to debit cards and Apple Pay
Mobile apps available
Live Chat not available 24/7

“Bangers N’Cash” bonus system a little bit confusing

BetWright runs regular free spins offers based around bonus codes. At the time of writing you can use the code “VEGAS20” in your Account page then wager £30 on the slot Big Bass Vegas Double Down Deluxe to receive 20 more free spins on this game. Want to play another game? Then use the slot “CLUB20” and bet at least £30 on Club Tropicana Happy Hour for, yes, 20 free spins on this slot. The free spins can be redeemed on both BetWright website and app and, best of all, have no wagering requirement.
Like many UK casino sites BetWright lacks a VIP program, but it does have a loyalty program dubbed “Bangers N’Cash.” This is a promo system that has you “stack” your wagers and bets in order to get points. In turn these points can be redeemed into free spins or bets, depending on the offers you’re going for. We admit this system is a bit confusingly laid out, and it requires you to qualify as an Advanced, Premier, or Prestige customer.
BetWright currently counts on a selection of over 600 slots from top providers including Avatar UX, Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, and Relax Gaming, among others. The site organises these games in a number of categories found on the top menu, such as New, Megaways, Drops & Wins, and Instant Wins. Scrolling through the page you’ll find these same categories, together with examples of the games they contain. Taking the New Games category we found the likes of Zeus Vs Typhoon, Happy Nets, and Spear of Athena.
The BetWright casino page has a Trending Games that shows you what’s currently popular among its players. At the time of writing we found hits like Big Bass Halloween 3, Deal Or No Deal Golden Box Megaways, and Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Catch. We’ll admit these are quite different from Starburst and Book of Dead, which are usually what one will find in a casino’s Top Games section, but it does encourage one to try something new so we can only give it a hearty thumbs up.

BetWright has a dedicated Live Casino section, although we have to point out that it’s confusingly set up. While it rightly has dedicated subsections for Roulette, Baccarat, and Blackjack, it also includes slots and crash games. Why this is the case we have no idea. At least it does include game shows. Interestingly active live casino games are shown with their current bet ranges and the name of the host currently running the session, which is a nice touch.
BetWright is primarily a sports betting site, so it is obviously well stocked in this regard. The left-hand side of the screen shows all the sports you can bet on, which include both British favourites like football, cricket, and racing (both horse and greyhound), as well as American sports like baseball, basketball, and American football. All sports come with a good selection of currently ongoing leagues and events. Live betting - here described as In-Play Betting - is likewise available, although the site lacks any streaming options that allow you to watch the game while you’re betting.

BetWright caters nicely for the mobile players with apps for both Android and iOS devices. This is available on the respective devices’ app stores, and you can also download the app directly by scanning the QR code on the screen. That said the site is fully compatible with all mobile devices, being designed to fit nicely on smaller displays, so perhaps you shouldn’t bother with the downloads.
Payments are where BetWright takes a hit as far as our impressions go. This is because the site accepts just three means of payment - VISA and MasterCard debit cards and Apple Pay. There are no e-wallet - not even PayPal - or pre-paid card payment available, so if you prefer these methods you should look elsewhere. At least the three payment methods usable are by far the most reliable and safe, and withdrawals come with no additional charges.
| Payment Mode | Min Deposit | Max Deposit | Min Withdrawal | Max Withdrawal |
| £10 | N/A | £10 | N/A | |
| £10 | N/A | £10 | N/A | |
| £10 | N/A | £10 | N/A |
Deposits are, as a rule, instant while withdrawals can take up to 5 working days. This is due to any checks the casino might need to affect before proceeding with transferring the cash to your account. BetWright also warns that further delays might be involved if you make deposits and withdrawals with multiple cards, suggesting you should stick to the same card or method as you play.
Being licensed by the UKGC requires BetWright to provide customers with a secure experience. This includes not only data security - which the provider covers through an extensive Privacy Policy - but also Responsible Gambling features. Here BetWright has a full Safer Gambling section that details how the casino protects through tools such as Deposit Limits, Reality Checks, and Self-Exclusion options. The site provides a profit/loss feature that allows one to see how much they have been winning or losing over a period of time, as well as a budget calculator for the creation of a bankroll set on one’s disposable income.
While BetWright does offer helpful customer support, this has to come with a bit of a warning - live chat is only available during “office hours.” The site fails to specify these hours, so we’re assume they amount to the standard 9 to 5 most of us have to work through, and as such is a bit unhelpful. Email support is available, but you’ll typically need to wait at least 24 hours before receiving an answer. If you want to help yourself a fairly detailed FAQ section is available for you to go through.

BetWright makes for a slick option for both your online casino and sports betting needs, even if we’ll be the first to admit this recommendation comes with a handful of caveats. The payment methods are shockingly limited, the Bangers ‘N Cash system remains a bit baffling, and support is not available 24/7. If you’re up for betting only with your debit card and like to wrap your mind around a unique take on the loyalty scheme, then BetWright might be the site for you. The site design is slick, there’s a mobile app, and there’s a good variety of both games and sports events to enjoy. BetWright is a new site, so we expect it to further improve as it grows over the next few years.
