Balloon Race Live Game Review

The second and third phases of Balloon Race Live act as bonus games. If you qualify during the Qualification phase, you will have the option of playing the second phase, Top-Up, where you can increase multipliers that can determine payouts for the third and final phase.

Top-Up

The third and final phase uses balloons of four different colours: green, purple, red and yellow. In the Top-Up phase, you have the chance to earn multipliers for some or even all of these colours. However, there is no guarantee that the winning balloons of the final phase will have received a multiplier from the Top-Up phase.

To play Top-Up, you need to place a bet equal to your starting bet. Three to six balloons, each with a multiplier, float to the top of the screen. You can increase the value of the multipliers by increasing your bet. There can be no more than two of the same colour. Any of the balloons can burst at any time. If a balloon reaches the top, its multiplier is added to its respective colour.

After the Top-Up phase, a plane flies by and adds random multipliers for each colour. These are multiplied by the combined total of any multiplier scatters you qualified with during the Qualification phase.

Bonus Game

This is the only part of Balloon Race Live that is live as both the Qualification and Top-Up phases are animated. For the Bonus Game, the dealer uses a bingo-style machine with 80 balls. There are 20 balls for each of the four colours. At the top of the screen, there is a multiplier value for each of the four colours, while at the bottom are four balloons.

The dealer draws balls from the machine, one at a time. The balloon of the matching colour then rises one space. The first balloon to rise five spaces and reach the top wins. Its total multiplier is applied to your initial bet and paid to you. Bear in mind that players receive different payouts. This is because the Qualification and Top-Up phases are unique to each individual player.

Both the Qualification and Top-Up phases are animated games. The third phase is live and uses a real-life dealer who oversees the action and keeps the excitement up. It runs round the clock, so you can play the slot, qualify and then play the Bonus Game phase whenever you like. 

Balloon Race Live has excellent visuals and animations in its first two phases. The final live phase also looks the part thanks to its design: it looks like the dealer and the gaming equipment are actually in a hot air balloon basket.
