Stock Market Live Review

Evolution’s Stock Market Live is a virtual trading game that invites you to wager on whether a fictional stock value will rise or fall within a short amount of time. In our Stock Market Live review, we will explore the gameplay in more detail, covering the rules, betting limits, payouts, and more. If you are looking for a live game show with a unique style, this could be it. Stock Market Live takes an original approach to live betting, and is similar in some ways to a crash game. Players with experience of crash games, such as Aviator and Spaceman, will know that the aim is to try to cash out at the right time to avoid a loss. However, in Stock Market Live, you cannot cash out after you make your wager — you must allow a trade to finish before you discover whether you have won or lost. The game includes a Return to Player (RTP) of 99%, but the max win available is low at 2x your bet. Keep reading our Stock Market Live review to learn everything else you need to know about this live game before you try it for yourself.

How to Play Evolution’s Stock Market Live

Stock Market Live RTP

Stock Market Live is different in concept and presentation from most other live game shows available at online casinos. Instead of playing at a table with a live dealer issuing cards or spinning a wheel, Stock Market Live focuses on a dynamic chart that takes up most of the screen. A tiny window on the left-hand side of the screen shows the presenter sitting in front of a large display, which shows fictional financial data.

You take on the role of a stock market trader, and your aim is to predict whether a stock value will be higher or lower than its starting point by the end of the current Trading Session.

Gameplay consists of two phases: the betting phase and the Trading Session.

Betting Phase

You can wager between £0.10 and £2,500 in each Trading Session, whether you want to bet on the stock value rising or falling. Just select the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ field when you are ready to make a prediction.

Stock Market Live does not let you bet on both outcomes simultaneously. However, you can switch between them repeatedly during the betting phase until you know which you want to stick with. But once the betting time (15 seconds) ends and your wager is accepted, the bet will be added to your Portfolio.

Trading Session

The Trading Session starts once the betting phase ends. The stock market value will be shown on the chart as a single line: this will change position slightly until it finally locks in place. The values will always be measured in percentages and calculated by a Random Number Generator (RNG).

The Trading Session’s outcome will be determined by the stock value once the glowing line reaches the end of the chart space (shown as a blue vertical line). The value may vary from -100% to +100%, but will never stop at 0% — it will always be negative or positive.

The stock value shown at the end of the round will increase or decrease your Portfolio size, and a 1% commission will be deducted from the resulting Portfolio. This will produce the Trading Session’s ultimate outcome.

Each 1% change in stock value in the correctly or incorrectly predicted direction will increase or decrease your Portfolio by 1%.

For example, if you wager that the stock value will increase, and it does so by 75%, you would win 75% of the bet. But if you bet that it would decrease and it goes up by 75% instead, you would lose 75% of your Portfolio value.

Stock Market Live only allows you to Cash Out during the betting phase. Tap the ‘Cash Out’ button to claim your funds minus the 1% commission.

Stock Market Live Bonus Games

Evolution’s Stock Market Live has no bonus games to trigger — it focuses on the core gameplay only.

Languages, Hosts, and Presentation

Stock Market Live’s hosts speak English. They are engaging and talkative throughout the game, though their interaction with players is different from how it would be in more traditional live game shows.

Visually, Stock Market Live is one of the more distinctive live game shows I have encountered, though it is less exciting to look at than some of the more traditional titles. There is no studio, no set, no table — just the chart and the live host (relegated to a small portion of the screen).

If you grow bored of watching the chart activity, essentially following the line as it rises and falls during each round, you may feel as if there is little reason to stay with Stock Market Live. Despite that possible issue, though, Stock Market Live’s design is sleek and stylish, and should particularly appeal to players immersed in the world of finance.

Stock Market Live Payouts

Stock market Live has a very high theoretical RTP of 99%. However, it is a low-paying game: payouts range from 0.01x to 2x your bet.

Mobile Experience

Evolution has optimised Stock Market Live for mobile play, and its presentation is just as sharp on a smartphone or tablet. The layout is slightly different, as the betting area is more condensed on smaller screens.

However, you can only play Stock Market Live in portrait mode on a smartphone. If you try to switch to a landscape view, you will be asked to rotate your device back to portrait mode.

Evolution’s Stock Market Live Final Thoughts

Players on the lookout for a fresh and original live game show may find Stock Market Live compelling. With its distinctive concept and style, it stands out from most other live game shows available at online casinos (particularly more generic titles).

The high RTP of 99% is one of the most impressive aspects of the game, and the simple betting options mean it should be accessible to all players.

However, one of the biggest issues with Stock Market Live is the low prizes. The top payout available is just 2x your bet, which pales in comparison to the prizes in so many other live game shows. For example, Crazy Time can award wins of up to 5,000x total bet.

If you find the trading angle interesting, you may want to try Stock Market Live: it could be the right game for you. However, if you prefer more traditional live game shows with the potential for higher payouts, you may choose to look elsewhere instead.
