French Roulette Table & Wheel Layout

French Roulette is one of the most popular roulette types on the market. On the face of it, the game is extremely similar to European Roulette, but there are several differences. The use of the ‘La Partage’ bet reduces the house, making French Roulette more attractive for some players. Let's look at the game’s layout and wheel in detail to find out more.

Wheel Numbers and Sequence

The wheel numbers in French Roulette are laid out in the same pattern as they are on a European Roulette wheel. This is with alternating red and black pockets, with the number zero at the top. The sequence is 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, 25, 17, 34, 6, 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9, 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26.

Table Layout

The table layout is easy to adjust to, even if you have never played roulette online before. The inside bets are placed on the numbers 1-36, which are laid out in three rows of 12. The number zero is at the end of these rows. All even money and other broader bets are found on the outside part of the table.

The Call Bets

French Roulette has a few small differences to European Roulette, the biggest of which is the introduction of call bets. These are special bets that, in a real casino, players are required to audibly call when they place, while online, they will be presented on the interface.

Rules and How-to-play

Learning how to play French Roulette is straightforward, with the game following the same gameplay steps as any other version. Those steps are as follows:

  • Choose your stake: Before you spin the wheel, you will need to choose your stake and decide which bets you want to place.
  • Hit spin: With the bets all set, you can hit the spin button and get the action started.
  • Cross your fingers and watch the spin: The ball will spin around the wheel and land in a pocket. The result will then be announced.
  • Result: Fingers crossed, you’ve won, and you will be rewarded with your winnings.

What is La Partage?

La Partage is a special feature in French Roulette where if the ball lands at zero and a player has not bet on it, they will receive half of their stake back. This is a popular feature that helps to swing the favour of the player. This only applies to even-money bets.

What is En Prison?

En Prison is an excellent feature where players can effectively lock their bet into the game if it lands on zero. In this instance, players get a second spin of the wheel to see if they win. However, if you win the second spin, your initial stake is returned, as opposed to being doubled. This only applies to even-money bets.
