The Anaconda Gold slot pulls you back in time to the era of the ancient Aztecs. It’s hardly an original theme, but it’s brilliantly done here. The temple behind the reels is highly detailed, with intricate carvings and greenery growing over the stone. The two snakes guarding the temple are realistically animated, too.
Along with its impressive design, the game includes atmospheric music and jungle sounds that bring the location to life. The Aztec theming continues on the symbols, with colourful paintings and animal statues awarding wins.
However, those wins are only small. The two top symbols on the paytable, the Queen and Warrior, award up to 3x and 2x your bet, respectively.

Wild Symbol
The Golden Idol symbol is Wild and substitutes for all paying symbols. It doesn’t substitute for Scatter, Money, Collect, or Anaconda symbols. The Wild may randomly expand and transform positions below it into Wilds, too.
Giant Symbols
Any paying symbol can land as a giant symbol that fills a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 space. These break any symbols that they drop onto (except for other giant symbols).
Tumble Feature
The Tumble feature triggers on each winning spin: prizes are awarded, and the winning symbols vanish (apart from Scatters). The rest of the symbols drop to the bottom of the grid, and new symbols fall in from above to fill empty spaces.
Tumble sequences continue until no new winning combinations form. After each tumble, one row is added to the top of the grid. The reel can expand in this way up to a 6x8 layout. Once the tumble sequence ends, the grid resets back to the original 6x4 layout.
Money Collection Feature
Money symbols can land on any spin. Each one has a random value from a predefined set (1x - 100x bet).
Collect symbols will gather the value from each visible Money symbol.
Anaconda Symbol
When two Anaconda symbols hit anywhere, they connect via a random path. This changes each symbol it passes over into Money symbols or the same type of random paying symbol.
If it creates Money symbols, the last Anaconda symbol turns into a Collect symbol.
Free Spins
Match 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters to win 10, 15, 20, or 25 free spins, respectively. The grid doesn’t expand during the Free Spins feature: this happens after every three tumbles instead. But the grid size won’t reset for the entire bonus round.
To retrigger the feature, land another three or more Scatters.
Anaconda Gold Final Thoughts
This game has a lot more to offer than I expected when I played it for the first time. The maximum number of possible chances to win is outstanding for a non-Megaways slot, and the top prize is impressive.
On top of this, you can trigger diverse bonuses while you play. From the expanding Wilds to the Free Spins feature, there’s plenty to keep the gameplay varied.
The only real issue is the tiny symbol values, but at least tumbles and the other bonuses can lead to bigger wins.
