Brawlers Brew Slot Review

This is where the game tries to earn its keep. The problem is not that the features are bad. It is that the whole package still feels like a mash-up of things you have seen before, just with a slightly louder accent.

Wild Symbol

The Wild substitutes for all regular symbols except the Scatter. It also pays on its own, which is always welcome. More importantly, it doubles as the Collect symbol, which means it is central to both the base game and the bonus rounds.

Whenever a Wild and one or more Brew symbols land together, the Wild collects all visible Brew values and pays them instantly. Brew symbols can hold 1x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, or 25x the stake.

If a Wild lands without any Brew symbols, the Lucky Upgrade can randomly kick in and transform lower-paying symbols into Brew symbols, triggering the collect anyway.

Bonus Games

Land 3 or more Bonus symbols and you trigger one of the three Free Spins modes. All of them use the same Progressive Trail mechanic, where collected Wilds are tracked through the feature. Once you collect 6 or 12 Wilds, you get +2 extra spins and may upgrade into the next bonus level.

This system is the main thing that gives the bonus round some structure, and to be fair, it works. It keeps the feature moving instead of feeling like one static free spins mode with a different label slapped on top.

Golden Tray

This is the first Free Spins level, triggered by 3 Bonus symbols for 10 Free Spins. The Golden Tray can land fully or partially. It only gets collected if it lands fully and a Wild takes it. If it shows up and is not collected, its value increases.

That value can reach 30x, 45x, 60x, 75x, 100x, 125x, 175x, 250x, 2,500x, or 5,000x the stake. The bigger numbers obviously look great on paper. In practice, you should not start planning the holiday just because you saw a tray drifting by.

On The House

Triggered by 4 Bonus symbols for 12 Free Spins, or by collecting 6 Wilds during Golden Tray. Here, if the Golden Tray lands partially, it nudges up by one position. That makes collection easier and gives the tray a bit more presence.

It is a better version of the first bonus, basically.

Irish Slammer

Triggered by 5 Bonus symbols for 12 Free Spins, or by collecting 12 Wilds during the earlier bonus modes. In this version, an uncollected Golden Tray stays sticky for one extra spin, which improves your odds of actually catching it.

This is the strongest feature in the game and the one you actually want. The trouble is getting there often enough to care.

Extra Bet

Extra Bet doubles the cost of the current stake and adds an extra row in the base game. That row can land more Brew symbols, which increases the chance of triggering Cash Collect. Quickspin also says it boosts the chance of triggering that feature by 203%.

During Free Spins, the Golden Tray can also pass through that extra row, which helps its value climb further. That sounds good, but you are still paying a lot more for the privilege. So it is useful, yes. Sensible for every session, no.

Feature Buy

The slot includes three buy levels:

1. 45x buys Golden Tray
2. 100x buys On The House
3. 200x buys Irish Slammer

Interestingly, the RTP on those bonus buys is better than the miserable top RTP of the base game, which says a lot about how little faith the game inspires in its normal state.

Brawlers Brew has enough going on to stop it from being a write-off, and I do think the collecting Wild in both the base game and bonus game was the right call. The Golden Tray mechanic is also the best thing here, because it gives the Free Spins some forward movement instead of turning the whole feature into a static waiting game. If you already liked the earlier Brawlers setup, you will probably find this sequel decent enough for a few sessions.

The problem is that “decent enough” is doing a lot of lifting. The RTP is poor, the pub theme feels too familiar, and the gameplay never really escapes the shadow of other collect-heavy releases. There is some fun in the bonus ladder and a bit of personality in the Brawler himself, but the overall package still feels more like a serviceable sequel than one you might genuinely want to keep coming back to.

I landed on a 6 because Brawlers Brew does enough right to stay afloat, but not enough to stand out. The collecting Wild is useful, the Golden Tray adds some tension, and the three-step Free Spins ladder gives the feature set a bit more shape than a basic one-bonus slot. But the RTP is poor, the theme feels like a reheated pub brawl, and the gameplay still leans heavily on ideas you have likely seen elsewhere. It is playable, mildly entertaining, and occasionally rewarding, but not something you would point to as one of Quickspin’s sharper efforts.
