Chaos Crew Slot Review

The bold visual style is, of course, the first and most distinguishing element of Chaos Crew. It also remains wholly unique, being inspired by graffiti and urban culture. The game is set in a rough and graffiti-strewn alley, where the reels appear in sprayed-over form. The reels themselves are black, but are outlined in glowing yellow. The symbols on these, meanwhile, are based on stickers and graffiti sprays, and look like nothing like the typical card suits and fruits found in so many slots! 

There are 9 paying symbols in total, divided between 5 low and 4 high pays. The low-paying symbols consist of an 8 ball, skull, smiley face, cross, and lightning bolts, while the moth, brain, apple, and tentacle make the high pays. The cat symbol - known as Cranky Cat - is the wild. It can substitute for all paying symbols and will add a random 2x, 3x, or 5x multiplier to wins it makes part of. The “Free Spins” symbol is, of course, the scatter, and as such will award you with free spins if you land 3 on the reels. The free spins add a new symbol to the reels, Sketchy Skull. Chaos Crew has a pair of bonus features, multiplier wilds and free spins. The multiplier wilds are perhaps self-explanatory but the free spins add a hold and spin-style twist to the action so let’s take a closer look! 

Multiplayer Wilds

The Cranky Cat wilds add a random multiplier to wins they make part of. This can be worth 2x, 3x, or 5x. If there are more than one Cranky Cat wilds in the same payline then their multipliers will multiply each other and the total applied to the payout. 

Free Spins

Landing 3 Free Spins scatters triggers the bonus feature. This is a hold and spin-style affair where the symbols on the reels are replaced with blanks together with Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull symbols. You start with 3 spins, with the number resetting back to 3 every time you land at least 1 Cranky Cat or Sketchy Skull. 

You’ll notice a number on top of each reel. These are round multipliers. Landing a Cranky Cat multiplies the number on top of its reel by its value, while a Sketchy Skull adds a number to the reel’s total. Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull can also land in Epic form which multiply or add to all multipliers respectively. The round continues until you run out of spins, which is when all multipliers on top of the reels will be added up and the total applied to your current stake.

With its aggressive style and highly volatile gameplay Chaos Crew remains a modern slot classic. While most regular spins can prove to be duds, some can prove to be big winners thanks to the multiplier wild feature.
