Chaos Crew 3 Slot Review

As one might expect, Chaos Crew 3 features the same graffiti-influenced visual style seen in the first two games. As such, it brings the series’ two main characters, Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skeleton, who fill the left and right hand sides of the screen with their animated forms. There’s also a new character, dubbed the Glitch Dog, which can show up on the reels through the game’s special features. 

The symbols on the 5 reels feature the same art style seen in the rest of the game, and are unique to boot. The low paying symbols are the letters that spell the word “CHAOS,” while the high pays consist of a severed hand, a brain, a Stop sign, a slice of pizza, and a missile. Cranky Cat acts as a multiplier wild that can substitute for all paying symbols and add a random multiplier of up to 20x to wins it makes part of. Finally, the “!FS” symbol is the scatter. This will reward you with a bonus round if you land 3 or more on the reels. 

Now let’s check how much each of the paying symbols are worth: 

• CHAOS low pays: 3 - 0.1x / 4 - 0.5x / 5 - 2x
• Hand, Brain: 3 - 0.5x / 4 - 2x / 5 - 5x
• Stop Sign, Pizza: 3 - 1x / 4 - 3x / 5 - 7.5x
• Missile: 3 - 2x / 4 - 5x / 5 - 10x
• Cranky Cat wild: 5 - 10x

Chaos Crew 3 might look like a simple game - after all it’s just 5 reels, 3 rows, and 19 paylines. But it’s rich with all manner of bonuses that we’re going to detail right here. 

Cranky Cat Wild 

We’ve mentioned how the Cranky Cat symbol is the wild that can substitute for all paying symbols. In addition to this, if a Cranky Cat makes part of a winning combination it will add a random multiplier of up to 20x to the payout. In the case of more than one Cranky Cat in the same payline then their multipliers will be multiplied with each other and the total applied to the payout. 

Can You Spell CHAOS?

Landing the 5 low pays in the same row to spell “CHAOS” triggers an Epic Drop. This is a free spin where each reel gets a multiplier that starts at 1x while all 5 CHAOS lowpays transform into Glitch Dogs that jump to random positions on the game grid and all other symbols on the reels are replaced with blanks. Once the Glitch Dogs get to their new positions each one glitches into one of the following 4 random multipliers:  

• Sketchy Skull - adds its value to the Reel Multiplier once. 
• Epic Sketchy Skull - adds its value to all Reel Multipliers once. 
• Cranky Cat - multiplies its Reel Multiplier once. 
• Epic Cranky Cat - multiplies all Reel Multipliers once.

The value of Sketchy Skull can reach up to 100x, while Cranky Cat is worth anything between 2x and 20x. Once all Glitch Dogs are transformed and the multipliers applied to the reels these are all added up, the total payout awarded, and the reels reset back to normal. 

CTRL + ALT + CHAOS

Landing 3 !FS scatters triggers the CTRL + ALT + CHAOS round. This is a hold and spin-style free spins feature where you get 3 spins to land Glitch Dogs or multipliers. Landing one of these resets the number of spins back to 3. Once you run out of spins the total value of the multipliers on the reels is added up and the total applied to your stake for a payout. 

The Korrupted K9

Land 4 !FS scatters for an enhanced version of the above bonus feature. This one adds a Chaos Upgrade symbol to the reels. This adds a random multiplier of up to 100x to all  multipliers or Glitch Dogs within a 3x3 area. The Chaos Upgrade is removed from the reels on the next spin. 

An Epic Glitch 

Land 5 scatters for the final version of the bonus round. This plays like the Korrupted K9 round only with the guarantee of a full grid with Crazy Multipliers, 1 Chaos Upgrade, and at least 1 Glitch Dog on the first spin.

We’ll admit that our first look at Chaos Crew 3 left us unimpressed. After all it looks like a mere rethread of the second Chaos Crew slot with an identical 5x5 game grid and 19 payline setup. However, give it a few spins and you’ll instantly see the differences - especially once you trigger the bonus features and witness their Glitch Dogs. The volatility is intense and the wins can reach up to 30,000x the stake, making this one the Chaos Crew slot to play. It’s clear that Hacksaw Gaming have done it again!
