Cod of Thunder Dream Drop takes us on a pleasant day of fishing somewhere in the Nordic fjords. In fact the game is set on the sail of a Viking longboat while an elderly warrior looks on, spear in hand. Subtle animation brings the game to life, with the longboat bobbing on the calm waters as birds fly overhead, bringing an atmosphere that’s far more serene compared to the blood and thunder prevalent in the majority of Norse-themed games. 

The reels hold a total of 8 paying symbols, with 4 Viking characters acting as the high pays and the familiar A, K, Q, and J card royals as the low pays. There are also 9 different fish symbols. Multiplier Ladder 

Triggering a cascade takes you up by 1 step on the multiplier ladder. The multiplier starts at 1x and grows by with each cascade to reach a maximum of 500x. Once there are no more wins on the reels the final multiplier is applied to the spin’s total win. 

Fishing 

The reels hold 9 different fish symbols holding values ranging from 0.5x to 100x. Fish symbols cannot form winning combinations, but can be caught by the Viking fisherman who’ll award you their values as a cash prize. Note that while the fisherman may attempt to make a catch there’s no guarantee that he’ll actually manage to catch anything. 

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters anywhere on the reels awards you with 6, 8, or 10 free spins respectively. The multiplier ladder is fun, but this paired with relatively low payouts most of the time, even during the free spins. The Dream Drops feature does promise far bigger wins, but as always the chances of winning one of these are infinitesimal, to put it mildly.
