A surprising aspect of Crystal Lotuses is its bonus features… or rather the lack of any. Well it does feature means to get potentially bigger payouts, which is what we’re going to explain next. 

Cash Clusters and Pot Symbols

Cash clusters are special dark purple symbols that display a cash value. These form clusters like the other paying symbols, so by landing 5 or more in horizontally or vertically adjacent positions. In this case you’ll win the total sum of the values held by the symbols. There is another kind of symbol that can form a win with the Cash Clusters, and that’s the glowing Pot symbols. If one or more of these makes part of a win then you get a random pot prize as an additional payout. 

Random Pot Prize 

The pot prizes can be found on the left-hand side of the screen. There are 6 of these, which are respectively worth 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, and 500x the stake. You’ll note how their colours correspond to those of the paying symbols. As such, landing a winning cluster may randomly award you with a pot prize of the same colour as the symbols making it.

Crystal Lotuses looks great and plays fine, but still proved to be a bit of a disappointment. This is due to its bonus features, or specifically the lack of any. Sure there are the random prize pots and the cash clusters, but we were expecting this slot to at least feature a free spins round. Instead it’s just as straightforward as it gets, which might prove a boon for players who prefer a simpler cluster slot experience. The cascades are admittedly fun, and the medium volatility leads to a relaxing experience, but whether that’s enough depends on the kind of player you happen to be.
