Gunslinger Glory features a cartoony take on the familiar Western genre. We find ourselves in a painted canyon backdrop complete with cactuses and a bright blue sky, where a wanted poster board awaits our spins. There are no tumbleweeds bouncing in the breeze but the symbols feature a distinctive style and plenty of visual effects kick off once you land a winning combination or two.
There are 9 paying symbols on the reels - the 2 bandits, revolver, hat, and wanted poster make the high pays, while the A, K, Q, and J take the low pay role. The wild bandit that lands on reels 2, 3, and 4 can substitute for all symbols except the bonus scatter, coin, chest, and collect. The bonus scatter is a sheriff’s star that takes a shot at any of the 3 panels found on the left-hand side of the reels. Feature Panels

Once a panel’s meter drops to 0 it triggers a round of Super Spins with its respective feature. In case more than 1 panel drops to 0 on the same spin then their features will be combined in the same round.
Super Spins are a round of 5 free spins where the wilds take the role of collect symbols. As such they can collect the values of coin symbols, but only of those that land in positions adjacent to (in other words touching) them. Coins hold cash values of up to 4x the stake. There are also chests that when landed can award you one of the following prizes depending on the round you’ve triggered:
- Extra Spin - adds +1 spin to the total.
- Win Multi - boosts the win multiplier by +1.
- Big Prize - boosts the values of coin values by up to +4.
Gunslinger Glory Final Thoughts
Gunslinger Glory is a perfectly fine Wild West slot from Yggdrasil and Boomerang Studios, if one that fails to truly blow the genre apart. The fact the feature panels do tell you how close you are to triggering the bonus feature is a nice touch, but the low win potential of 1,273x the stake and low volatility gameplay do lead to an overall lack of excitement. In fact this is a rather sedate slot, which is not something you want to say about something that’s supposed to evoke the gun slinging days of the wild frontier.
