If Cash symbols land but do not form a winning cluster, they are collected by the Bee sitting outside the grid. Once collected, the Bee has a chance to trigger an Instant Bonus. That can be the Mini for 10x, Minor for 20x, Major for 50x, or Grand for 100x.It is a decent side mechanic, though it is not where the real upside lives. Think of it as a small extra rather than the main event.

Rush Meter

Wins charge the Rush Meter by the number of symbols involved in the cluster. Once the cascades stop, the queued Rush Meter feature activates depending on how full it got.

At 30 symbols, you get Drone Colony, which clones the centre symbol into a 7+ symbol cluster.

At 60 symbols, you get Worker Colony, which builds a bigger cloned group of around 10 to 15 symbols.

At 90 symbols, you get Queen Colony, which can create a cluster of roughly 20 to 37 symbols.

This is the slot’s best mechanic. It is simple, it makes sense, and it feeds the chain-heavy style of the game instead of interrupting it.

Walking Wild Multiplier

Walking Wilds land with a starting multiplier of 1x to 3x. They substitute for regular paying symbols, but when they are part of a win, they do not disappear. Instead, they move to a random new position after each cascade and their multiplier rises by +1.

Once a Walking Wild hits its cap, it disappears after that final cascade or spin. If more than one Wild is part of the same winning cluster, their multiplier values are added together before being applied. A cluster of 35+ Wilds pays 250x, though obviously that is not something you should start expecting every other tea break.

There is also a nice little twist here. If the opening spin does not win, the game can randomly drop in 2 to 4 Walking Wilds anyway, which gives dead starts a chance to wake up fast.

Honey Rush Black and Yellow is one of those sequels that makes the sensible choice. It does not tear the original apart just to look new. Instead, it keeps the cluster-and-meter engine that already worked, gives the game a new visual identity, and raises the max win enough to make the updated version feel more worthwhile. The result is smooth, readable, and much more capable than its cheerful bee theme first suggests.

This is a good sequel because it knows what needed changing and what did not. The city setting and music angle give it more character, while the Rush Meter and Walking Wilds still carry the gameplay properly. It is not stuffed with ten different mechanics trying to look clever. It just does a few things well, and that usually ages better anyway.

I landed on a 7.5 because Honey Rush Black and Yellow feels like a smart refresh rather than a lazy repaint. The core gameplay still flows nicely, the Rush Meter remains the standout feature, and the Walking Wilds give longer sequences a real sense of momentum. The theme swap also works better than expected, which is not always the case when a slot tries to mash bees and urban music together. What keeps it short of the top tier is that the side bonus values are fairly tame and the game still relies heavily on the board cooperating for those longer, meaningful runs. Still, this is a good Play’n GO release and one you might actually want to return to.
