The bonus features in Kitty Coins are based around the coins and envelope symbols. Let’s see what these involve. 

Cash Collect

The coin symbols found on all reels hold cash values ranging from 0.4x all the way up to 200x the current bet. You can collect these by landing coins together with an envelope symbol on reel 5. Envelopes come with stickers in 5 colours, yellow, red, purple, green, and blue. The yellow, red, purple, and green envelopes not only trigger the Cash Collect feature when landed, but can also add a modifier to the feature as follows: 

• Yellow envelope - collects the values of all coins in view and awards you the total as a payout
• Red envelope - boosts the values of the coins by up to 200x before awarding you the total
• Purple envelope - adds more keys to the reels before collecting all values
• Green envelope - multiplies the total value of the coins in view by up to 10x before awarding it as a payout

The final blue envelope triggers the Hold and Spin feature which we’ll explain next.

Hold and Spin

Landing a blue envelope on reel 5 together with coins triggers the Hold and Spin feature. This round can also be randomly triggered whenever you land coins on the reels without an envelope on reel 5. The Hold and Spin locks the triggering coins and envelope on the reels for 3 respins where only additional coins and envelopes can land on the reels. 

Any landed envelopes trigger their feature as explained above, while coins lock in place for the duration of the round. Landing at least 1 coin or envelope resets the number of respins back to 3. This way the round goes on until you either run out of respins or fill all 25 reel positions with a symbol, which is when you’ll receive a grand prize worth 10,000x the stake.

Mystery Replacement 

A spin may see symbols on the reels replaced with another of the same type. In this case any winning combinations on the reels will be transformed into the same symbol. 

Kitty Coins is not the deepest slot, but it is cute while offering solid win potential of up to 25,000x the stake, and sometimes that’s enough. The RTP might be a bit low at 95.48%, which does affect the game and its high volatility, but the different Cash Collect features do brighten the experience. Add the Hold and Spin round and you get an Asian-themed game that, while not mind blowing, proves very likeable.
