Synot uses an airbrushed fantasy aesthetic to great effect in Moonlight Fortune. The background is a magical forest complete with gently falling leaves, while the semi-transparent reels hold a fine selection of symbols that look right at home in this fantastical land. The low-paying card royals are suitably carved out of wood, while the high-paying symbols consist of a unicorn, wolf, owl, and rabbit. These creatures are decorated with glowing patterns, further enhancing the game’s theme. The wild is an elf who can substitute for all symbols except the moon scatter. This is found on reels 2, 3, and 4, and will award you with free spins if you land all 3 on the same spin.

Moonlight Fortune has one bonus feature, and it’s the classic free spins round. You’re probably familiar with how these work but still, let’s take a closer look at them.

Land the 3 scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4 for a round of 6 free spins. This will also award you with a payout worth 2x your total bet. The free spins are played using the same bet as that of the triggering spin, and add more wilds in stacked form to the reels. You can retrigger the free spins as landing the 3 scatters during the round will add 6 more spins to the total.

Moonlight Fortune is a nice-looking slot that plays decently enough, and ultimately that’s all it is. The low volatility is relaxing, but this writer prefers more exciting games that add more to the slot formula than the standard free spins round.
