Temple of Three Slot Review

Fruit machines typically lack any bonus features, but this is definitely not the case with Temple of Three. With this in mind let’s see what this slot has in store for players. 

Divine Respins

The middle reel holds the Treasure Keeper symbol. Land one of these and it will trigger a series of respins as it drops by one row until it reaches the bottom of the reel. As it drops the Treasure Keeper collects the values of any coins that hit on each respin. Land an additional Treasure Keeper symbol and it will retrigger the feature. If there are multiple Treasure Keepers on the reels then each one will individually collect the values of the coins in view.

Hold’n Spin 

Any coins landed when a Treasure Keeper is not present on the reels is collected by one of the 3 pots found on the upper left-hand side of the screen. There are 3 pots, Bastet’s Multiplier POt, Ra’s Mystery Pot, and Anubis’ Enhancer Pot. This coin collection feature can randomly trigger the hold’n spin feature that consists of 3 respins during which only coins, Treasure Keeper, instant prize, and mystery symbols can land on the reels. Landing a symbol resets the number of respins back to 3, while Treasure Keepers collect the values of all coins in view. 

The pot that activates the hold’n spin feature adds its modifier into the mix. The pots are as follows: 

• Bastet’s Multiplier Pot - adds 2x multiplier frames on 1 or 2 empty positions on reels 1 and 3. An additional multiplier frame may be added during the round to either an empty reel position or as a +1 upgrade to an existing frame. Only coins can land on multiplier frames.
• Ra’s Mystery Pot - a sticky mystery symbol that appears on random spots on reels 1 or 3. At the end of the round it reveals a random instant prize symbol. 
• Anubis’ Enhancer Pot - enhances coin symbols on reels 1 and 3 by 1 tier. 

Cash symbols hold values ranging from 0.5x to 10x the bet, while the instant prize symbols are worth 15x, 25x, 50x, or 100x the stake. If no symbol lands on the final respin you may get a Second Blessing, which spawns a coin on a random reel position to reset the respin count back to 3. 

Go Ultra

Where available you can use the Go Ultra feature to boost the values of the coin symbols. This increases your bet by 1.5x and in turn coin values range from 0.67x to 13.33x your bet. 

While ultimately decent, Temple of Three is a slot that awkwardly sits between two stools. While it tries to be as feature-rich as Play’n GO’s other Egyptian-themed slots Temple of Three is still limited by its compact 3-reel, 3-row format. Meanwhile the fruit machine fans will find it overencumbered by bonuses that get in the way of the purity of the genre. The medium-high volatility doesn’t help as far as payouts go, making Temple of Three a slot for… no one, really.
