The Goonies Quest for Treasure 2 Slot Review

Buckle up because just like all other titles in the series, this one is packed with features like Wild Symbol, Hey You Guys Modifiers, Collect Feature, Trail Unlocks, Treasure Spins, One-Eyed Willy Spins, and Power Play.

Sloths ‘Hey You Guys!’ Modifiers

Sloth can activate ‘Hey You Guys Modifiers’ on any spin with numerous possible outcomes:

• Hidden Treasure adds cash prize icons to reels.
• Bonus Boost brings more scatter.s
• Dynamite Blast randomly enhances Wilds and high-paying symbols on the reels. (Only occurs during the base game).
• Cave Ins cause symbols to be deleted to create a spot for guaranteed-win symbols.
• Collect Boost increases the value of any Collect Symbol in view.

Collect Feature

Collect Symbols occur on reels 1 and 6. They expand and collect all visible cash awards when they appear with Cash Prize Symbols. Each collection process unlocks trail positions for higher overall prize potential.

Treasure Trail

The treasure map-like trail above the reels advances with each Collect Symbol. New features will remain unlocked for the remaining spins. Available features are as follows:

• Cascade Collect: The Collect and Cash Prize icons remain on the reels while all other symbols are deleted. Cascading reels continue until no more Collect or Cash Prize Symbols emerge.

• Mystery Symbol: All mystery symbols on the reels become the same symbol.

• Boost Collect: Cash prizes are boosted 1-5x, and Sloth will activate a respin with the Cash and Collect symbols locked in place.

• Treasure Wheel Symbol: Can offer a variety of prizes.

• X-Collect: All cash symbols on the reels can be collected up to 5 times.

• One-Eyed Willy Spins: When the bonus activates, players take part in One-Eyed Willy Spins

• Power Play: Unlocks the Power Play feature

Treasure Spins

Treasure chests in red, blue, and green are Bonus Scatter Symbols. One or two Bonus Scatter Symbols can trigger 10 Free Spins, and 3 or more ensure it. Getting 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols triggers the feature with an additional payout of 20x, 100x, or 500x the stake.

The Chests used to activate the feature alter the reels in several ways:

• The Red Chest (Collect Expand) increases the Collect Symbol height to 4 rows.
• The only symbols in the Blue Chest (Reel Attack) are Collect and Cash Prize symbols.
• Trail Multipliers increase by 3x, 4x, 8x, and 20x thanks to the Green Chest (Trail Boost).

A mix of chest features can be active during the Treasure Spins.

You may get 5 additional spins up to a total of 20 by collecting 3 Collect Symbols. The win multiplier increases with each upgrade to 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x.

One-Eyed Willy Spins

Once unlocked in the Trail, this feature will activate instead of treasure spins. They play the same; however, 20, 30, 50, and 100 Cash Prize Symbols are added to the reels instead of a multiplier.

Power Play

The Power Play costs 5x the stake and only shows Cash Prize, Collect, and Bonus Scatter Symbols.

If you have played one of Blueprints' slots inspired by The Goonies, then bar a few mixed features and/or a progressive jackpot network system, you have played them all. The sheer number of slots in this series shows that Blueprint is on to a winner with this formula, but for my personal taste, I do not see the logic of churning out slots with so many features that their titles are 7 words long and their gameplay rules are even longer. 

With so many features on offer, however, I think Blueprint is perfectly poised to get experimental. Why not innovate a never-before-seen feature? With so many fan-favourite features, even if the experimental addition fails, players will have plenty else to enjoy.

I rate The Goonies Quest for Treasure 2 an 8/10; if you are nostalgic and like feature-packed games, you will enjoy playing, but it is nothing new.
