Wild Toro 3's feature system operates entirely through Walking Wilds, sticky Torito Wilds, Respins, and the Golden Rose Bonus. There is no traditional Free Spins round.

Toro Walking Wild and Respins

Toro lands only on reel 5 and moves one position leftward per step, generating one Respin for each step taken. His multiplier increases with every step — the longer the walk, the higher the multiplier applied to wins involving him.

Torito Respins and Grid Expansion

When a Torito (Blue, Green, or Red) lands on reels 2, 3, or 4, it sticks in position, expands the grid by one row, and awards a Respin. Multiple Toritos can be in view simultaneously, each adding their row and extending the Respin sequence. When Toro is also in view, each Torito type activates a specific interaction:

Blue Torito and Toro — Scatters additional Wild symbols across the reels. Green Torito and Toro — Doubles Toro's current multiplier value. Red Torito and Toro — The Red Torito absorbs Toro's current multiplier value, adding it to its own.

Toro Goes Loco

Triggered when one or more Matadors are in view at the same time as Toro. Toro charges all Matadors, knocking them off the reels and leaving Wild symbols behind. Each Matador type responds differently to the charge:

Brave Matador — Drops his muleta as Toro approaches; the muleta covers the reel below him with a tall multiplier Wild symbol before the charge lands. Coward Matador — Flees before Toro reaches him, extending the distance and therefore the length of Toro's charge. Regular Matador — Holds position until Toro knocks him off.

Day and Night Modes / Midnight Bullfight

Wild Toro 3 has a Day/Night volatility switch. Day mode runs the standard feature set described above. Night mode raises the volatility and enables the Midnight Bullfight feature: tall multiplier Wild muletas can land on the reels and fully cover them, combining with Toro's walking multiplier for higher potential outcomes. The mode switch is set before play and applies for the session.

Golden Rose Bonus

Triggered when Toro collects a Golden Rose symbol as he walks across the reels. The bonus opens a new grid where Toro appears as a large 2×2 Wild symbol. Golden Roses with multiplier values, Toritos, and Regular Matadors drop into this grid. Toro moves to knock out the Matadors, collecting Golden Roses along his path — each rose adding its multiplier value to the total win.

I have followed the Wild Toro series since the original and ELK has done something genuinely interesting with Wild Toro 3. The Torito mechanic is the standout addition — three calf characters that each interact differently with Toro's multiplier creates a system where the interactions matter. Landing a Green Torito when Toro already has a high multiplier is meaningfully better than landing a Blue Torito in the same moment. That kind of layering is what keeps sessions watchable rather than just technically complex.

The parts that give me pause are the narrower stake ceiling of £12 and the 94% RTP. The stake cap is more restrictive than both Wild Toro II (£20) and most modern ELK releases. The RTP is the same shortfall as other ELK titles in this batch. The Golden Rose Bonus, the three Matador types, and the Torito interactions justify choosing this over a simpler game at the same RTP — but not over a better-RTP ELK title if one is available to you. If you are a Wild Toro series player, Wild Toro 3 is the most mechanically rich entry. If you are starting the series fresh, Wild Toro II at 95% is the better introduction.
