Flutter Entertainment reports rising revenue and profitability on strong trading performance
Flutter Entertainment plc, the dual-listed gambling group behind brands including Paddy Power, Betfair and US-based FanDuel, has reported significant revenue growth and improved earnings in its most recent trading updates for the 2025 financial year.
In its second quarter of 2025, Flutter saw group revenue increase by approximately 16% year-on-year to around $4.19bn, supported by strong performance across its iGaming and sports betting units. The operator’s adjusted EBITDA rose by around 25%, highlighting continued operational progress.
Earlier in the year, Flutter also disclosed its first-quarter results, posting roughly £3bn in revenue, up compared with the same period in 2024. The group turned a net profit in this period, reversing a loss from the prior year, and reflected this momentum by upgrading its full-year guidance.
The results are notable in the context of broader industry challenges, including regulatory changes and competitive pressures in the UK and international markets. Flutter’s diversified portfolio, which includes substantial operations in the United States via FanDuel, appears to have underpinned its resilience.
Analysts have noted that continued investment in technology and market expansion is central to Flutter’s strategy, even as some UK gambling stocks have faced volatility and sector tax concerns in recent months.
