The business was founded after recognising a simple but persistent gap in the landscape: most sites weren’t designed to help users truly compare their options. 

There was a clear gap in the market. Most affiliate sites only provide basic lists, usually divided by topics like online casino or free bets. Our site has that structure too, but we wanted to make it easier for users to directly compare deals - something others weren’t offering.

The vision was to build a full gambling resource, not just an affiliate list. That’s why we invested heavily in high-quality educational content, including a video series teaching people how to play different online games, as well as news and regulatory updates.

Innovation isn’t just about creating new features but also about looking beyond the industry’s traditional approach. 

At first, we planned to publish mostly slot reviews and operator reviews. But I realised it was more valuable to create deeper resources, particularly through the Learning Zone.

The two biggest pillars of Gambling Zone are the quality of the content we’ve produced, including the video series and the functionality that we give users. A big example of that functionality is the plans for a forthcoming comparison tool.

I believe this kind of feature-focused innovation is missing elsewhere in the industry. Too many brands, I argue, are slow to change or unaware that user expectations are evolving. 

I would say that a lot of brands do things without thinking about whether it will enhance the user experience, and most brands are also not that innovative. A lot of change is driven either by new compliance requirements or unless something drastic needs to be done. I see many brands who follow the ethos of, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. 

While this has some benefits, I think it hinders a lot of potential innovation in our industry, and I would love to see more brands try something new.

Creating something new hasn’t been easy, particularly in a market dominated by long-established affiliates. 

One of the biggest challenges was competing with sites that have been established for 15 or 20 years while mine was only about three years old. 

To be a genuine learning resource and a reliable comparison platform, we needed to be seen as trustworthy and authoritative. That meant producing consistently high-quality content, working with established authors, and being transparent about our sources.

Whilst Gambling Zone is still in its early years, the foundations are anything but inexperienced. Kinetic Digital has been embedded in the landscape for two decades so despite being a new brand it’s built on 20 years of first-hand insight.

This is why age isn’t our limitation, it’s what makes us different. Gambling Zone brings a fresh energy to the iGaming landscape with the maturity and authority of Kinetic Digital behind it.

Growth Driven By Experience

Gambling Zone’s growth is driven less by volume and more by experience, another point I emphasise as a key industry gap. 

Growth isn’t just about adding more content but about giving users more functionality. Along with side-by-side offer comparisons, users can now leave their own reviews on slots and operators.

All of this reinforces trust and authority, which are core to what we are building.

Looking ahead, the roadmap continues this user-centric philosophy. 

Although it’s still early, I’d love to introduce Gambling Zone accounts, where users could access social games and potentially earn perks like free spins. But that’s further down the line.

AI Reshaping The Affiliate Landscape

AI has had a massive impact on content strategies. Many businesses will find it cheaper and easier to create content using AI. Even when working with real writers, you don’t always know whether they’re using AI to expand their work.

On the technical side, AI has made development easier. You can rely less on developers and use more guided or assisted coding. 

AI has changed SEO completely. Classical SEO still matters - ranking for keywords, structuring content properly - but now companies need to consider how to get LLMs to mention their brand. Many affiliates are still struggling with this.
