Euro 2024 Betting Tips - Day 9

Saturday’s sets up three intriguing Euro 2024 contests with Group E and F having the look of two extremely competitive sections.

In Group E, Belgium are under pressure to bounce back from their shock defeat to Slovakia when they take on a buoyant Romania in the late game. Earlier, Georgia take on the Czech Republic first up, while Portugal and Turkey face off in Group F in the middle game on day nine in Germany.

Georgia Have The Firepower To Succeed

Georgia were beaten 3-1 by Turkey in their opening Euro 2024 contest and Willy Sagnol’s men will certainly have to tighten up defensively if they are to get a result against the Czech Republic.

However, the Crusaders certainly looked dangerous in attack against the Crescent Stars and they step down in class in Hamburg.

Georgia registered 14 shots on goal against a good Turkey side and the Czechs could only manage a single shot on target against Portugal.

Clearly, Ivan Hasek’s men were up against a top-level team in their Group F starter, but this is an outfit which scored only 12 goals in eight Euro 2024 qualifying matches and there isn’t a great deal of attacking threat.

Offers of 4/1 about a Georgia victory, in a game where the opposition have limited goalscoring potential, looks far too big and the Crusaders look well worth a punt as such.

Tuck In To Tasty Turkey Price

Turkey produced an excellent display when beating Georgia 3-1 in their first Euro 2024 tussle and that may not be where the victories end for the Crescent Stars.

Vincenzo Montella’s team registered 22 shots and an expected goals tally of 3.01 in that clash with the Crusaders, and while a contest against Portugal represents a tougher task, it doesn’t appear as difficult as the prices suggest.

Montella is a good manager, who has a young and progressive squad at his disposal and there is also the stability and control of Hakan Calhanoglu in midfield.

Calhanoglu is the base that has helped limit the sometimes erratic performances of the Crescent Stars and they look well equipped to deal with Portugal.

The Iberian nation looked static in attack with the aged Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line against the Czech Republic and manager Roberto Martinez appears to lack the courage to replace the former Real Madrid man.

Belgium Heading For More Woe

Belgium were rocked by a 1-0 defeat to Slovakia and the Red Devils could be in trouble again against Romania.

It’s only one defeat in 16 matches for the Tricolours and Romania were excellent in their 3-0 victory over Ukraine.

Edward Iordanescu’s men hold onto the ball well enough to keep control of Belgium’s attacking stars and there is no doubt that the Red Devils are vulnerable at the back, while their finishing against Slovakia left an awful lot to be desired.
