The Seagulls are aiming for another European spot this season and have a rock-solid home record ahead of a visit from Wolves on Monday night.
Wolves have had an impressive campaign under Gary O’Neil, but have found their road form has not matched their efforts on home turf, so this is a crucial clash for both teams.
- Brighton to win and both teams to score
- Joao Pedro to score at any time
- Craig Dawson to be shown a card
Seagulls To Dominate
Brighton have been solid on home soil this season, losing just one and winning five of their ten league games at the Amex.
The Seagulls have only lost one of their last eight matches in all competitions as they juggle the demands of a first-ever European campaign with their domestic efforts.
Their strong record on home turf is in sharp contrast with Wolves’ record on their travels, they have lost six of their ten away matches in the league this term.
These two teams have tended to put on a high-scoring match-up when they have met recently, their last three clashes have produced 16 goals, and this looks likely to be another entertaining affair.
Both teams have scored and Wolves have lost in four of their last eight away games in the Premier League, and a repeat of that is the pick.
Both teams have scored in seven of Wolves’ last eight away games and both teams have found the net in all eight of the wins that Roberto De Zerbi’s side have recorded in the league this season.
They beat Tottenham 4-2 in their last home outing and they are taken to win a game in which both teams are fancied to score.
BRIGHTON TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
Pedro To Find The Net
Brighton’s signing of Joao Pedro from Watford in the summer is increasingly looking like one of the best purchases of that transfer window given the form he has found at his new club.
The Brazilian has 15 scored goals in all competitions and has relished his role as his team’s penalty-taker, netting eight times from the spot.
With fellow attacking stars such as Ansu Fati and Kaoru Mitoma set to miss out, Pedro looks a likely starter and he can extend his strong scoring record this season against a Wolves defence that can be leaky at times.
Dawson Could Fall Foul Of The Referee
Brighton’s fluid attacking play can cause defenders plenty of issues and a repeat of that looks likely when they take on this Wolves team.
Craig Dawson is not the most mobile central defender and could be vulnerable here.
He has already been booked five times this term and may pick up another against this difficult to contain forward line.
