Champions League Betting Tips – Group Stage, Matchday 6, Tuesday

There are plenty of interesting match-ups on Tuesday’s Champions League fixture list, with plenty of sides still vying to qualify for the knockout stages in the penultimate round of matches.

We have picked out a range of selections to create a five-fold acca including the likes of Barcelona, Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Recommended five-fold: Shakhtar Donetsk to win, Barcelona to win, Under 2.5 goals in Milan vs Dortmund, Draw in Feyenoord vs Atletico Madrid and Over 3.5 goals in  50/1.

- Shakhtar Donetsk to beat Antwerp

- Barcelona to beat Porto

- Milan vs Dortmund under 2.5 goals

- Feyenoord vs Atletico Madrid to finish as a draw

- Young Boys vs Crvena over 3.5 goals

Shakhtar vs Antwerp

Shakhtar Donetsk landed a brilliant 1-0 victory over Barcelona earlier this month to keep their knockout stage qualification hopes alive and they can follow that up with a comfortable success over bottom-of-the-section Antwerp on Tuesday.

The Ukrainians have dealt with playing away from the Donbass Arena well, keeping three clean sheets in their last four designated home matches, including in the win against Barca.

They should prove too strong for group whipping boys Antwerp, who are yet to pick up a point in the section, have conceded 14 goals in just four matches, scored just three of their own and have lost their two previous away games by an aggregate score of 7-0.

The Belgian champions look way out of their depth in the Champions League and their domestic form has worsened since last term too, they sit fifth in the Pro League after being held to a draw by bottom-half side STVV in their last match.

Shakhtar beat Antwerp 3-2 in the reverse fixture and should have no issues in dispatching their struggling visitors once again.

SHAKHTAR TO WIN

Barcelona vs Porto

The later game in Group H will see the top two face off with the sides locked on nine points at the summit of the section.

Barcelona suffered a shock defeat to Shakhtar in their last Champions League match, but can bounce back against Porto on Tuesday.

Barca have been strong at home, despite playing their matches at Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium while Camp Nou undergoes renovations, winning 11 of their last 12 matches there, with the only defeat coming in El Clasico against bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Xavi’s side have lost only one of their last seven Champions League home matches, with the sole defeat coming against German giants Bayern Munich,  and they beat Porto 1-0 in the reverse fixture suggesting they should be too strong for their visitors once again.

The Portuguese side have won their last four road games but they lost at league leaders Benfica prior to that, who are much closer to Barca’s level than any of their subsequent opponents.

BARCELONA TO WIN

AC Milan vs Dortmund

Arguably the match of the day is set to take place when Serie A title hopefuls AC Milan welcome German giants Borussia Dortmund to San Siro, however, the last time the reverse fixture was somewhat disappointing with little action on show and a 0-0 scoreline to boot.

With just three points between top and bottom in Group F and plenty to play for as both sides have a chance of pipping Newcastle and PSG to qualify for the knockout stage, a similarly tetchy match could unfold.

The Rossoneri's last two Champions League games, both against PSG, have seen three goals but none of the nine prior to those matches saw the ball hit the net more than twice, while just one of their last seven home fixtures in all competitions have seen that much action.

Dortmund are nowhere near as potent as the French champions, managing just two goals in their last four Champions League away matches, and none of their last nine games in this tournament have gone over 2.5 goals, so expect a low-scoring affair in Milan.

UNDER 2.5 GOALS

Feyenoord vs Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are top of Group E and beat Celtic 6-0 in their last Champions League match, suggesting they should get the better of Feyenoord.

However, Diego Simeone's men have drawn both of their away matches in the group stage, including a 2-2 tie with section basement boys Celtic, and a positive result for the Dutch side is not out of the question.

Atletico will still be hopeful of landing a first La Liga title since 2021 but they have recently lost away games against mid-table sides Valencia and Las Palmas, suggesting they are difficult to trust on their travels.

Feyenoord have won both of their home group matches, beating the Bhoys 2-0 and Lazio 3-1, and are second in the Eredivisie having beaten third-placed AZ Alkmaar before the international break.

The Dutch side only lost by a single goal in the reverse fixture in Madrid and their home form is impressive, meaning section leaders Atletico may have to settle for just a point in Rotterdam.

THE DRAW

Young Boys vs Crvena Zvezda

Neither of these sides can qualify for the knockout stage, both being eight points behind second-placed RB Leipzig in Group G.

That could lead to a gung-ho approach as they fight it out to take third place in the section and qualify for the consolation prize of Europa League football.

Young Boys and Red Star have a habit of being involved in high-scoring matches, with both sides seeing three of their four Champions League group games so far go over 3.5 goals, including their last meeting.

The reverse fixture finished 2-2 They have both managed goals against treble winners Manchester City, highlighting the attacking talent in their squads, and could be set to play out another goalfest in Bern.
