Las Vegas Grand Prix Betting Tips

Formula One lands in the city that never sleeps for the penultimate round of the 2023 season and the first Grand Prix in Las Vegas since the early 1980s.

The brand-new street circuit takes drivers on a tour around some of the most iconic landmarks in Sin City, with perhaps the most spectacular draw being the one-mile straight through the heart of the famous Strip.

Norris To Close The Gap On Alonso

McLaren looked in real trouble in the early stages of the 2023 season, but have mounted a comeback of epic proportions since the summer months and Lando Norris is now eyeing up fourth place in the World Drivers’ Championship as we approach the end of the year.

The young Brit is just three points behind Fernando Alonso heading into the Las Vegas Grand Prix and has been on a phenomenal run of form lately.

He finished second in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix in Brazil and has stood on the second step of the podium six times this season, the first of which came just 11 Grands Prix ago at Silverstone.

With five podiums and four second-place finishes in the last six races, Norris looks one of the form drivers on the grid right now and he can guide the papaya McLaren to another excellent finish.

Alonso On Comeback Trail

Veteran Spaniard Fernando Alonso posted five podiums in the first six races of the 2023 season, but Aston Martin were left behind in the development race and struggled during the middle portion of the season due to a string of failed upgrades that have forced the Silverstone-based team to revert to a previous iteration of their design.

Fortunately for Alonso and the rest of the Aston Martin team, that decision paid dividends in Brazil as he clinched his first podium since Zandvoort.

With Mercedes and Ferrari struggling for pace in Sao Paulo, Alonso will be hoping this trend continues as he looks to wrap up fourth place in the championship.

He has finished in the top six 12 times this season and is well-placed to make it 13 in Las Vegas.

Alpine Showing Reliablility

It has been an undeniably difficult season for Alpine in 2023, with reliability and pace issues plaguing them at times.

However, reliability concerns have abated over the last few races and Pierre Gasly will be looking to wrap up the battle with teammate Esteban Ocon this weekend.

Gasly has not suffered a retirement since Hungary in July and has finished in the points in five of the nine races since then, including a fantastic podium in the Dutch Grand Prix.

His failures to reach the top ten during this period have generally been close calls, too, with only a 12th-place finish in Qatar and an 11th-place finish in Mexico City stopping him from posting six successive points hauls.
