Liverpool vs West Ham Betting Tips - EFL Cup Quarter-Final

The final semi-final spot in the Carabao Cup will be up for grabs on Wednesday as Liverpool look to take their Premier League frustrations out on West Ham at Anfield.

The Reds could have gone to the top of the table with a win over Manchester United on Sunday, but they had to settle for a goalless draw despite dominating.

However, West Ham will fancy their chances of putting up a bold show on Merseyside after a dominant home win over Wolves on Sunday and a 3-1 win over league leaders Arsenal in the last round.

- West Ham or draw double chance

- Over 3.5 goals

- Jarrod Bowen to score at any time

Moyes’s Boys Can Hold Their Own

Liverpool were unable to battle their way through a rigid Manchester United defence on Sunday as they failed to win at Anfield for the first time this season and there could be further frustrations in store against West Ham.

The Hammers should be more positive than the Red Devils were on Sunday and with one defeat in their last nine matches, they should be confident they can at least take the clash to a penalty shootout.

The Reds claimed a 3-1 win over David Moyes’s side in the league in September, but the East Enders are not going to be involved in the relegation battle this year and the cup competitions should be their focus after they got a taste for silverware by winning the Europa Conference League last season.

Moyes fielded a strong team to get past Arsenal with a 3-1 victory in the last round and they put in a commanding show in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Wolves.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp meanwhile may elect to shuffle the pack as further injuries could potentially derail his quest for the Premier League title, so the visitors could gain their rewards.

WEST HAM DRAW OR DOUBLE CHANCE

Both Teams Should Be Positive

Liverpool created a shedload of chances in their draw with United and it seems highly likely that they will adopt a positive approach against the Hammers to get that stalemate out of their system.

And that could open opportunities for the visitors so there is a decent chance that there could be a few goals.

The blank against the Red Devils has been the only occasion this season that Liverpool failed to score at least twice in a match at Anfield and there seems a strong chance there could be at least four goals in Wednesday’s contest.

West Ham were humbled in their last away game when they lost 5-0 at Fulham, but they earned a gruelling 2-1 victory at Tottenham a few days before that loss and had scored in 12 straight away games before losing at Craven Cottage, so expect plenty of goals in this clash.

OVER 3.5 GOALS

Bowen Can Maintain Fine Form

While Mohammed Kudus scored twice in the Hammers’ impressive performance against Wolves, Jarrod Bowen was also on the scoresheet once again and he looks a strong any-time goalscorer selection for Wednesday’s game.

The former Hull forward scored in seven consecutive away league matches for the Hammers before the Fulham defeat and he should put in another strong showing having registered the third goal in their win over Arsenal in the previous round.
