NFL Accumulator Betting Tips - Week 3

NFL Accumulator Betting Tips - Week 3

There will be more thrills and spills in the NFL as the regular season enters Week 3 with sides already jostling for position in their divisions.

All 16 teams are taking part this week and here are four selections to make our accumulator for the next round of mouth-watering fixtures.

- San Francisco 49ers to cover the spread against New York Giants

- Green Bay Packers to beat New Orleans Saints

- New England Patriots to beat New York Jets

- Philadelphia Eagles to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New York Giants @ San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have been justifying their hype as Super Bowl contenders this season with two impressive performances going into this clash with the New York Giants in California.

With a 30-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers followed by a 30-23 victory against the Los Angeles Rams, the 49ers offense has been looking strong.

There was plenty of pressure on the shoulders of quarterback Brock Purdy to step up and deliver this season and he has certainly done that in the first two games against the Steelers and the Rams.

Throwing for 426 passing yards and recording two touchdown passes, Purdy has been setting the tone for what could be to come this week.

The Giants on the other hand have conceded 68 points in their first two games against the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals.

New York were  in disarray against the Cowboys as they suffered a humiliating 40-0 defeat at the MetLife Stadium.

The Giants did manage to respond with a 31-28 win on the road at the Cardinals but their defensive display in Arizona still had plenty to be desired.

With their impressive offense, San Francisco can make it 3-0 this week and should fall on the right side of the spread in a comprehensive win over the Giants in the early hours of Friday morning.

New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers

The New Orleans Saints are 2-0 but will face their sternest test of the season when they travel to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

New Orleans have been scraping by in their opening two games after a 16-15 victory over Tennessee Titans was followed by a 20-17 win over the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.

Running back Tony Jones Jr scored the first two touchdowns of his NFL career against the Panthers last time out and will be eager to add to his tally against the Packers this week.

Green Bay might consider themselves unfortunate that they are not 2-0 after their 38-20 win over the Chicago Bears was followed by a 25-24 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons.

A cagey affair can be expected at Lambeau Field on Sunday but the Packers’ home advantage might just see them over the line against the Saints.

When it comes to regular-season clashes between these sides at Lambeau Field, the Packers have won 10 of their 13 meetings and can add to that winning record against the Saints this weekend.

New England Patriots @ New York Jets

The New York Jets’ hopes of a strong season practically went up in smoke after just four plays when new star quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in his opening game at MetLife Stadium.

It was a cruel start to the campaign for a franchise who have had very little to cheer about in recent years.

The Jets still managed to win that opening game against the Buffalo Bills but got a taste of reality with a 30-10 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys last time out.

Now the Jets welcome New England to MetLife Stadium, as the Patriots go in search of their first win of the season after losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins in the first two weeks.

The Pats showed signs of promise in both their 25-20 loss to the Eagles and their 24-17 defeat to the Dolphins.

New England quarterback Mac Jones threw crucial interceptions in both those games and the Patriots playmaker will need to cut those out, if the visitors are to pick up a win in the Big Apple this weekend.

The Pats are on a 14-game winning streak against the Jets and can continue that impressive run on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Raymond James Stadium is the place to go to see the only two sides with a 2-0 record face-off in Week 3, as the Philadelphia Eagles head to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Eagles suffered Super Bowl heartbreak at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs last season and Philly would be forgiven for having something of a hangover at the start of the new campaign.

That has not been the case however, as the Eagles beat the Pats on the road in their opening game, before heading back to Lincoln Financial Field to see off the Minnesota Vikings last time out.

Both performances were far from perfect from Nick Sirianni’s side but wins are what counts and the Eagles take a 2-0 record to Florida for this Monday Night Football showdown.

The Bucs have also enjoyed a strong start to the season, earning a 20-17 victory over the Vikings in Week 1, before a 27-17 victory against the Chicago Bears in Florida.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has been impressive for the Bucs in the first two weeks and it will be an intriguing head-to-head between him and Eagles playmaker Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles running game helped them reach the Super Bowl last season and it has been a formidable record already this season.

Hurts is able to go himself and draw defenders, while running back D’Andre Swift has 178 yards and 29 carries already to his name.

The Eagles’ running game might just prove to be too strong for the Bucs, who could well be on course for their first defeat of the campaign.
