Premier League Accumulator Betting Tips – Matchday 10, Saturday

There are four Premier League games taking place on Saturday and three of them seem relatively straightforward contests to assess. Putting three favourites in a treble can boost the odds to a decent number.

Chelsea host Brentford in a London derby, while title-chasing Arsenal welcome Sheffield United to the Emirates Stadium. Newcastle, building a head of steam in the Premier League, travel to Wolves seeking another three points.

Chelsea vs Brentford

Morale has increased at Stamford Bridge in the last few weeks and it seems that Chelsea's expensively assembled squad will soon start hitting top gear. The Blues gave Arsenal a fright last time out and can see off Brentford on Saturday.

Cole Palmer could become a Chelsea legend, settling at the Bridge immediately since his move from Manchester City, showing a confidence and style which has made him an instant hit with the Blues faithful.

The 21-year-old has scored in his last two games and formed a strong alliance with Conor Gallagher. Playing as a pair of deep forwards, this dynamic duo have the potential to wreak havoc on Brentford if unleashed in tandem again.

Chelsea chief Mauricio Pochettino may opt for a more offensive formation against Brentford, but whatever line-up the Argentinian selects, a home victory seems likely. The boys in blue have gone up a gear in their last four games.

Victory over Brighton in the EFL Cup was followed by comfortable away successes over Fulham and Burnley before that epic 2-2 Bridge draw with Arsenal. Chelsea have scored eight goals in their last three games and there appears a greater understanding developing between the fresh recruits.

It was always going to take time for Pochettino to get his methods across to his new charges, but he is a top-class manager who should turn Chelsea back into title challengers in a season or two.

Home defeats to Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa this season have been embarrassing, but should turn out to be nothing more than teething trouble in the fullness of time.

Brentford have been beaten when travelling to top-class opposition in the Premier League this season and it seems time to put Chelsea back into that category. They should be able to comfortably outgun their fellow Londoners.

CHELSEA TO WIN

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Arsenal were given a searching examination by Chelsea in their last Premier League fixture and went 2-0 down at Stamford Bridge. To battle back from that and retain their unbeaten start to the campaign was a heroic effort which bodes extremely well for the Gunners' title hopes.

Arsenal and Tottenham are the only unbeaten sides left in the Premier League after nine games – and both teams have conceded just eight goals. Despite Mikel Arteta's bluster about squad rotation between the sticks, he has opted for David Raya as his number-one goalkeeper, and Arteta's team have been keeping things tight at the back.

Raya has played in seven of Arsenal's last eight matches. He made a mistake against Chelsea which meant his team went 2-0 down at the Bridge, but whoever Arteta puts in goal against Sheffield United on Saturday seems set for a quiet afternoon.

Sheffield United have been outclassed in the Premier League this season, suffering a humiliating 8-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle at Bramall Lane.

Getting thumped by the Magpies in a home match a month ago dented United's confidence and there is a growing expectation among Blades supporters that they will be back playing Championship again next season.

Golfing superstar Matt Fitzpatrick is a Sheffield United diehard, but even the former US Open champion has to admit that his team have a mountain to climb to retain their Premier League status. No side has conceded more goals than United – 24 from nine games – and it seems fanciful to suggest they can repel Arsenal at the Emirates.

Expect Arteta's men to move the ball around quickly, stretch their fragile visitors from the off, and register an easy three points.

ARSENAL TO WIN

Wolves vs Newcastle

The treble can be completed by Newcastle, who can bounce back from their midweek European setback by handing out a beating to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Newcastle lost 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, but they face much weaker opposition on Saturday evening and can take out their frustrations on mid-table Wolves.

Not many teams in the world could have stopped Dortmund scoring on Wednesday – the goal came from a brilliant counter-attack finished off with aplomb by Felix Nmecha – and Newcastle are unlikely to be troubled by any such magic at Molineux.

Wolves defeated ten-man Bournemouth last time out, but Newcastle represent a much stiffer assignment.

Eddie Howe's team are full of belief, having produced some incredible performances this season, including an 8-0 destruction of Sheffield United and a 4-1 thrashing of Paris St-Germain in the Champions League.

As was the case in those rousing successes, the Toon Army will be expecting their side to adopt an offensive approach, so expect an all guns blazing attitude from Howe's men.

An efficient German side repelled Newcastle on Wednesday, but the Magpies had been finding goals easy to come by prior to that frustrating Champions League night - Newcastle scored 21 goals in their six games prior to the Dortmund reverse.

Newcastle have been drifting in the betting after picking up some injuries against Dortmund, but the visitors have enough strength in their squad to overcome those absences.

The increased odds mean a healthier return if the treble obliges. With Chelsea and Arsenal at short odds, the juice in the treble comes from a Toon triumph.
