Premier League Betting Tips - Matchday 13, Sunday

The weekend’s Premier League action continues on Sunday afternoon with two cracking contests, starting with a meeting between two of the 2023-24 season's leading lights when Tottenham host Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Everton, meanwhile, have been rocked by news of a ten-point deduction for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations but the Toffees, who enter the weekend now sitting in 19th, will bid for a positive response on the pitch when Manchester United visit Goodison Park.

- Tottenham to win & both teams to score v Aston Villa

- Everton draw no bet v Manchester United

Spurs To Win In High-Scoring Game

After a brilliant start to life under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham went into the international break on a sour note following back-to-back losses to Chelsea and Wolves.

Those results dropped the Lilywhites to fourth, but the 4-1 defeat against the Blues largely came down to Spurs finishing the contest with nine men after Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie both saw red, while Postecoglou's men came within minutes of beating Wolves at Molineux before the hosts' late double.

Tottenham were without a number of first-team options at Wolves and even though that will still be the case against Villa with Romero, Micky van de Ven and James Maddison among those on the sidelines, there is still a positive feeling around the club with Postecoglou at the helm.

Spurs have won four of their five Premier League home matches this season, including an impressive 2-1 triumph over title-contenders Liverpool, so a clash with Villa should hold no fears despite their visitors' excellent form.

Unai Emery's men, who are sitting in fifth and would leapfrog Spurs into the top four with a win, have been going great guns on home turf this season, winning all six matches at Villa Park and scoring 23 goals, but they've lost three of their six away matches.

Spurs can claim the victory but, given their ongoing defensive absences, it could pay to back the Villans to get on the scoresheet in defeat.

SPURS TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Toffees Could Galvanise After Deduction

Everton are at serious risk of relegation following their ten-point deduction, but the Toffees went into the international break on a solid run of results and will be raring to go as they resume Premier League duty against Manchester United.

Sean Dyche's men have won three of their last five Premier League matches, with their only loss coming at Anfield against Merseyside rivals Liverpool, and their form spells trouble for the Red Devils, who still have a lot to prove under Erik ten Hag.

United have won four of their last five Premier League games but wins over Brentford, Sheffield United, Fulham and Luton - all by a one-goal margin and with two of those matches featuring last-gasp goals - have not suddenly made them title contenders while a top-four spot could also prove out of reach.

Ten Hag's visitors have scored just five league goals on their travels and, with a crucial Champions League clash with Galatasaray on the horizon, the last thing they will want is to be dragged into a scrap - which is exactly what they are likely to get at Goodison.

Everton have the ability to claim the three points but, given the individual quality in United's ranks, the safest play could be to back the hosts in the draw no bet market.
