Premier League Betting Tips Accumulator – Matchday 3

- Arsenal to beat Fulham & Over 2.5 goals

- Brentford to beat Crystal Palace

- Under 1.5 goals in Everton vs Wolverhampton

- Nottingham Forest +1.5 (Asian handicap) at Manchester United

- Draw in Brighton vs West Ham

Arsenal vs Fulham

Look at the two Arsenal scorelines in the first two weeks of the season and it is easy to think they are just sneaking over the line.

A 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest and 1-0 win at Crystal Palace – two sides likely to be in the bottom half – does not look or sound convincing.

But they were superb against Forest before a few late, nervy moments and were far better than Palace for long periods despite having Takehiro Tomiyasu sent off.

The swagger will return for the Gunners and it could possibly be on Saturday against Fulham, who even at this early stage look to have problems.

The sale of top scorer Aleksandr Mitrovic leaves them looking light up top, although it will be defending rather than attacking that will be the name of their game at the Emirates.

They did win their opener, 1-0 at Everton, but the Cottagers had to withstand the Toffees having a shocking day in front of goal.

But then they were crushed 3-0 at home by Brentford and it would be no surprise if Mikel Arteta's free-scoring title challengers put Marco Silva's side to the sword.

ARSENAL & OVER 2.5 GOALS

Brentford vs Crystal Palace

Questions were asked going into the season how Brentford would fare without Ivan Toney and how Palace would cope without Wilfried Zaha, and the early observations are that the Bees have little to worry about.

Palace, on the other hand, have lost a creative, goalscoring talisman in Zaha, and with the Ivory Coast international's apprentice Michael Olise also out injured, the Eagles are struggling to take flight.

Roy Hodgson's men won their opener at Sheffield United, 1-0 against a Blades' side who offered almost nothing. Then on Monday they had the chance to take a point or three off Arsenal when Takehiro Tomiyasu was red-carded midway through the second half.

They hardly created anything, lost meekly and you wonder if they won't get bulldozed by the sheer directness of a Brentford side who feel pretty much invincible.

This is a third straight London derby for Thomas Frank's side, and so far they are looking fine without their suspended top scorer Toney.

They looked razor-sharp in patches in a 2-2 draw against a much-improved Tottenham and then cruised to a 3-0 win at Fulham.

The Bees lost only twice at home in the Premier League last season and those defeats were against Arsenal, who finished second, and Newcastle, who were fourth. They should have way too much for Palace, who they are playing at a good time.

BRENTFORD TO WIN

Everton vs Wolverhampton

It is way too early to be talking about relegation six-pointers but the league table doesn't lie – bottom club Everton versus Wolves, the team immediately above them in the standings, has the whiff of a massive game about it.

Both clubs have played twice this season and both have lost twice.

Everton started off tidily enough at home to Fulham but couldn't put the ball in the net and were punished with a 1-0 loss.

Wolves also started off well, outplaying Manchester United for long periods at Old Trafford but were also incapable of finding the net. They too lost 1-0.

Any glimmers of hope, however, were quickly extinguished next time out. Everton went to Aston Villa and were spanked 4-0 while Wolves took on Brighton and were thrashed 4-1.

Everton haven't scored a goal in two games and it's hard to see them troubling Wolves with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil, Alex Iwobi and new signing Jack Harrison out injured. Equally, Wolves look scared whenever they get within sight of the penalty area, so there may not be many goals.

UNDER 1.5 GOALS

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest

Only two games gone and rather like last season, Manchester United have thrown in a pair of howlers for starters.

Twelve months ago Erik ten Hag's reign began with horror performances against Brentford and Brighton, both ending in losses.

They recovered well enough and started off this season with an air of optimism – only to stink out Old Trafford against Wolves but dodge a bullet by winning 1-0 before throwing in the towel at Tottenham in a 2-0 loss.

This is no time to be taking short prices about United against anyone, especially a side as well prepared as Nottingham Forest will be under their meticulous head coach Steve Cooper.

Forest were brave at Arsenal on the opening weekend in a 2-1 loss before fending off a gutsy Sheffield United, also by a 2-1 scoreline. Like Wolves, they have players on the counter to worry United's average defence and that makes them a threat.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST +1.5 ASIAN HANDICAP

Brighton vs West Ham

Brighton are top of the league after impressive 4-1 wins over Luton and Wolves, two sides who never looked like carrying enough of a threat to trouble the high-flying Seagulls.

A West Ham side who beat Chelsea 3-1 on Sunday, however, represent an sterner adversary and the hosts look short enough this early in the season.

The Hammers had needed to replace Declan Rice and while it's too early to know if James Ward-Prowse is the solution – or another newcomer, Edson Alvarez – the signs were promising against Chelsea.

It was Mauricio Pochettino's men who kept most of the ball at the London Stadium which is what Brighton will do at the Amex.

But West Ham are happy enough playing on the counter with players of the calibre of Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen sure to enjoy acres of space in behind when Albion's wide men bomb forward.

Brighton are looking good but six of the last 12 meetings have ended in draws and this may be another one.
