Premier League Betting Tips - Matchday 15, Thursday

There has been plenty of Premier League action for fans to get their teeth into this week and Thursday is no different with an intriguing pair of matches.

Newcastle visit Everton in the early kick-off with both teams fresh from weekend wins, while Spurs host rivals West Ham in the later game after Ange Postecoglou’s men secured a dramatic 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

Everton vs Newcastle

Newcastle put in two strong performances last week, taking a point from their Champions League trip to Paris on Tuesday before beating Manchester United 1-0 on Saturday.

The Magpies were comfortable victors over the Red Devils despite their mounting injury list, which means that Eddie Howe is unable to choose from as many as 13 first team players.

Nick Pope suffering a shoulder injury was the latest blow, but Newcastle have ridden the storm throughout this season and Martin Dubravka is a capable deputy.

Howe’s men travel to Everton in Thursday’s early kick-off and will be hoping to repeat what they did last season when they beat the Toffees home and away.

Only two teams came into this week’s matches having scored more goals than Newcastle’s 32 and they could cause some major issues for an Everton backline that has struggled at times this season.

The Toffees did beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the weekend, but before that they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United.

The ten-point deduction the hosts have received is a major blow to their chances of staying up, but they will make a good go of it as they finished the weekend just two points from safety after their win.

Newcastle may be a bridge too far for this side, however, and the Magpies are expected to keep up their good recent form.

Don’t discount Everton getting on the scoresheet, though, as ten of the 14 goals Newcastle have conceded this season have come on the road.

NEWCASTLE TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Tottenham vs West Ham

Tottenham brought to an end a run of three defeats in a row as they drew 3-3 with Manchester City in a dramatic end to the weekend’s Premier League action on Sunday.

Spurs were dealing with plenty of injury issues for that clash and so can be satisfied with their result considering the calibre of their opponent.

Crucially for Ange Postecoglou, Cristian Romero returns from suspension for this clash with West Ham and his side are fancied to come out on top.

The Hammers have been in decent form in recent weeks, but that has come against lower level opposition than this.

David Moyes’ side have the second-worst defensive record of the top 12 teams in the league and that may be their undoing in this clash, which Spurs are fancied to win.

TOTTENHAM TO WIN
