Five matches on Saturday afternoon will have a big impact on the Premier League table, with Manchester City looking to revive their title challenge.

City can be used in a five-fold, which concludes when Burnley host Everton in the Saturday teatime fixture.

Recommended five-fold: Bournemouth to beat Luton Town, Chelsea to beat Sheffield United, Manchester City to beat Crystal Palace, Newcastle v Fulham BTTS, Everton to win at Burnley

Bournemouth vs Luton

Bournemouth fans have had a heady few weeks, enjoying away wins at Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Manchester United, as well as taking four points from home missions against Newcastle and Aston Villa.

The Cherries have been competing well against some of the best teams in the Premier League of late – Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is finally getting a tune from his players – so the south-coast side will be confident of brushing aside Luton Town.

If Bournemouth can visit Old Trafford and crush their illustrious hosts by a three-goal margin, then there is every reason to believe Luton will suffer a similar fate.

Bournemouth have scored in their last nine matches in all competitions – netting 17 goals in total in those fixtures – and Luton's leaky rearguard seems vulnerable. The home side can head into Christmas enjoying mid-table safety should they take all three points at their Vitality Stadium.

Expect Luton's place in the relegation zone to be cemented. Bournemouth can get the five-fold started with a comfortable success.

BOURNEMOUTH TO WIN

Chelsea vs Sheffield United

Chelsea chief Mauricio Pochettino is under huge pressure going into his team's home fixture with Sheffield United.

Three points is essential to stabilise the Blues' faltering campaign so tensions will be high at Stamford Bridge, but Pochettino's men should comfortably outclass their opponents.

Chelsea have been struggling on the road in recent weeks, but they have won two of their last three home games in all competitions, and the other was a 4-4 draw with Manchester City. Pochettino will send his side out to attack from the off against the brittle Blades.

Sheffield United have had a change of manager, but Chris Wilder knows that he has been handed a mightily difficult challenge to keep the Blades in the Premier League.

A 5-0 defeat to Burnley at the start of this month showed just how much of a task Wilder faces.

United beat Brentford at Bramall Lane in their last outing to revive hopes of survival, but with trips to Chelsea and Aston Villa immediately in front of them, the chances of any more points coming soon appear remote.

CHELSEA TO WIN

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been vocal in his mocking of people who have been dismissing Manchester City's title hopes – and Klopp is speaking words of wisdom. City can get back on track with a comfortable success over Crystal Palace.

Liverpool are only four points ahead of City but do not play until Sunday, so Pep Guardiola's champions should be within one point of the Merseysiders on Saturday night.

Palace have won just one of their last nine games, beating only Burnley in that stretch, and veteran manager Roy Hodgson has been sounding increasingly exasperated. The 76-year-old will probably flood the midfield and attempt to stifle City at the Etihad Stadium, but it seems like Mission Impossible.

Chelsea and City are both short odds on the Saturday coupon, but both of the blue-shirted teams should keep the acca alive.

MANCHESTER CITY TO WIN

Newcastle vs Fulham

Goals should be on the menu at St James' Park on Saturday.

Free-flowing visitors Fulham have transformed their season in the last few weeks, suddenly finding the net with astonishing regularity, and they may opt for a gung-ho approach against an injury-hit Newcastle side.

Fulham have scored 16 goals in their last four games, defeating Wolves, losing 4-3 at Liverpool, then enjoying back-to-back Craven Cottage 5-0 romps against Nottingham Forest and West Ham. And Marco Silva will probably believe that attack is again the best form of defence for his side on Tyneside.

Newcastle suffered an agonising Wednesday-night Champions League loss at home to Milan. The Magpies got on the scoresheet, though, and you have to go back to May to find the last time that they failed to score in a Premier League home game.

The ever enthusiastic Toon Army should get Newcastle's players going again in the wake of their European heartache and a highly entertaining fixture could be in store.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Burnley vs Everton

Everton can serve up a teatime treat for acca backers by beating Burnley.

Toffees fans are still incredulous about the ten-point deduction they were handed a month ago, but such is the incredible form of their side, that punishment may not matter in their bid to avoid the drop.

Sean Dyche has become a hero for Everton supporters and the feisty 52-year-old returns to his old club on Saturday feeling over the moon with how life is working out at Goodison Park. Everton have won six of their last eight games in all competitions with their only defeat coming against Manchester United.

Everton hosted Burnley in the last 16 of the EFL Cup at the start of last month and cruised to a 3-0 victory. Dyche found it easy to expose his old club's weaknesses on that occasion and a repeat could be coming at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.

Everton have humbled Newcastle and Chelsea in their last two fixtures – claiming six points without conceding a goal – and self-belief has rocketed in the Toffees camp.

Burnley have lost seven of their eight Premier League home games this season, leaking 20 goals, and Clarets chief Vincent Kompany could be in for another trying 90 minutes.
