There are three Premier League games coming up on Wednesday as the fixtures continue to come thick and fast over this festive period.
- Wolves double chance
- Chelsea vs Crystal Palace - Draw
- Manchester City to win and Under 2.5 goals
Brentford vs Wolves
Wolves will look to end a four-match losing run away from home when they travel to the capital to take on Brentford on Wednesday.
Gary O'Neil's side have come up short in their last four matches on their travels, but they face a Brentford side which has lost three on the spin after losing some key players.
With Ivan Toney still suspended and Bryan Mbuemo out injured, the Bees have struggled to convert their chances, losing five of their last six matches to start to slide down the table, now in 14th.
Wolves showed plenty of heart in their recent 2-1 win over Chelsea, and with Pedro Neto potentially back to start on the bench, they should have the firepower needed to at least get a share of the points.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
After losing 2-1 to Wolves at Molineux, Chelsea will look to bounce back at the first opportunity when they play host to Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are unbeaten in five matches at home, but they have struggled with consistency for the majority of the season. The form of Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer has been a rare positive for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, but the pair are suspended for the visit of Palace after collecting their fifth yellow cards of the campaign.
With Palace boss Roy Hodgson potentially recalling Eberechi Eze to his starting XI, the Eagles have every chance to at least earn a share of the spoils against Chelsea.
Blues coach Pochettino has struggled to get a tune out of his team each week, and does not seem to know his best starting XI. While they have the individuals to hurt any team, they are struggling to take their chances, and if that very familiar storyline continues, Palace can be expected to pick up a point.
Everton vs Man City
Manchester City's 4-0 win over Fluminense in the Club World Cup could have come at the perfect time for City as they try to get back on track in the Premier League.
Their 2-2 draw earlier this month against Palace was another example of their struggles without Erling Haaland, but Pep Guardiola's men return after a five-day break.
After a shaky few weeks, City’s recent successes in Jeddah make it four wins in their last five games - the other drawn - and they seem to have rediscovered their mojo ahead of their trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.
The Toffees have lost two on the spin, and while they may be able to keep the scoreline respectable, they should still come up short on home soil.
MAN CITY TO WIN AND UNDER 2.5 GOALS
