After the thrills and spills of the Italian Grand Prix, Formula 1 heads to Singapore’s Marina Bay Circuit for action under the lights in this exciting night race.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has not yet won the Singapore Grand Prix in his career but is still firm favourite to claim the chequered flag for the first time on Sunday.
Verstappen has dominated this year, winning 10 consecutive races, and will take some stopping at Marina Bay.

Alonso Eyeing 8th Podium
Fernando Alonso is currently edging the battle to be best of the rest behind the two dominant Red Bulls this season.
Verstappen and Sergio Perez are the front two in the Drivers’ Championship but Aston Martin’s Alonso is leading the chasing pack.
With seven podium finishes already this year, the two-time world champion has impressed with his performances as the season heads towards a conclusion.
Alonso finished second at the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of last month and is capable of bagging an eighth podium finish of the year at Marina Bay this weekend.

Russell Singapore Promise In 2022
George Russell appears to have developed a liking for the Singapore Grand Prix following an impressive showing in this race last season.
The Mercedes driver managed to record the fastest lap of the race at Marina Bay in 2022 and will be looking for another sharp performance this weekend.
Russell finished ahead of his Silver Arrows team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the last outing at the Italian Grand Prix at the start of September, as he finished fifth, ahead of the seven-time world champion in Monza.
Given his strong showing at the Singapore Grand Prix last year, Russell looks capable of finishing ahead of Hamilton again on Sunday.

Sainz Jr Can Edge Ferrari Battle
Away from Verstappen’s charge towards the title, the battle between Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr and Charles Leclerc has been one of the more intriguing stories this season.
The pair have been evenly matched throughout the campaign, with Sainz Jr currently leading his Ferrari team-mate by just six points in the Drivers’ Championship.
Both drivers almost hit each other in the battle for third place at the Italian Grand Prix last week but it was Sainz Jr who came out on top to secure a podium place behind winner Verstappen and runner-up Perez.
Winning that exchange at Monza will have done nothing to harm Sainz Jr’s confidence heading to Singapore and the Spaniard is well priced to finish ahead of Leclerc again this weekend.
