Premier League Betting Tips - Matchday 36, Sunday

There are two Premier League games to look forward to on Sunday at 2pm, with Aston Villa making the trip to Brighton and Chelsea playing host to West Ham in an all-London affair.

Villa can take a massive step towards qualification for the Champions League if they can win at the Amex Stadium, having seen their rivals for the top four in Tottenham slip up in recent weeks.

Chelsea are still fighting for European qualification in some capacity and will be banking on their strong recent form at Stamford Bridge when West Ham travel across the capital.

Brighton vs Aston Villa

Starting with the action from the south coast, Aston Villa will be determined to get back in the saddle after losing 4-2 to Olympiakos at Villa Park on Thursday night in their Europa Conference League semi-final first leg.

Villa were far too loose against the Greek giants and manager Unai Emery will demand a much more controlled performance against a Brighton side who, to excuse the pun, appear to already be on the beach.

The Seagulls have won just one of their last nine Premier League games and a little more shockingly, have only scored one goal in their last five matches.

Villa look set to welcome back first-choice keeper Emiliano Martinez after he was suspended in midweek and that will bring more stability at the back.

With Brighton being so toothless in front of goal of late, Villa to win to nil at the Amex Stadium is the way to go.

Chelsea vs West Ham

Chelsea are starting to make Stamford Bridge the fortress it once was and will be firm favourites to claim another victory over West Ham on Sunday.

The Hammers have a dreadful record at the home of the Blues, having won just once in their last 18 visits there in all competitions.

Unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions at Stamford Bridge, while winning six of those matches, Chelsea are once again a force to be reckoned with at home.

One man who has certainly stood out in west London is Cole Palmer, who could also have a role to play for England at this summer’s European Championships in Germany.

Scoring 20 goals already in the Premier League this season, Palmer finds himself just one goal behind Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot.

Former City academy star Palmer has found the back of the net a remarkable 12 times in Chelsea’s last seven league games at home, scoring the opening goal in four of those matches.

It’s an impressive record and, against a West Ham side that have struggled at Stamford Bridge over the years and are currently on a five-game winless run in all competitions, Palmer can strike with another opener on Sunday.
