RBC Heritage Betting Tips

The PGA Tour heads to Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage this week, the fifth signature event of the season, in what promises to be a fantastic spectacle.

With a bigger purse, more FedEx Cup points and no cut to worry about, this limited-size field of 69 players will battle it out in South Carolina for the victory that also brings with it a fetching plaid jacket.

Having strolled to Masters glory on Sunday, world number one Scottie Scheffler looks like the man to beat again, though his focus will likely be on the imminent arrival of his first child with wife Meredith, and that could present a chance for others in the field to triumph.

  • Matthieu Pavon to win and each-way

Burns To Strike At Harbour Town

While Sam Burns has missed the cut on his last two starts, his long game has still been in solid shape and he should thrive at a Harbour Town course that demands accuracy and consistent tee-to-green play.

The 27-year-old ranks 17th in total driving, 22nd in strokes gained: total and has a 68 percentage for greens in regulation and it is just the putting that has been letting him down over recent weeks.

However, that could all be about to change as he heads to a course that uses Bermuda grass greens, with four of his five PGA Tour titles coming on this putting surface.

Burns, who has finishes of ninth, MC, 39th and 15th here, was also tied-third at the Phoenix Open and T6 at the American Express this year, both of which were played on Bermuda greens.

Fleetwood To Make PGA Breakthrough

Tommy Fleetwood heads to Harbour Town in great form, having followed a T7 at the Texas Open with a T3 at the Masters - his best finish at Augusta National.

The Englishman is second in driving accuracy and is regarded as one of the most consistent tee-to-green players around, with the putter often the club that stops him from winning more.

But Fleetwood has putted well at this course, finishing 10th and 15th over the last two years, while his recent top-10 result in Texas was at a venue that uses Bermuda greens.

Pavon To Continue Fine Season

Matthieu Pavon has landed titles on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour over the last seven months, firstly winning the Open de Espana in October before lifting the Farmers Insurance Open trophy in January.

The Frenchman is going from strength-to-strength and he finished an impressive T12 on his Masters debut, a result which has helped him to a career-high world ranking of 22nd.

Pavon is in the top 10 for driving accuracy and strokes gained: putting this season, while he is also 27th in greens in regulation.

He looks to have every chance of contending on his RBC Heritage debut this week.
